This was the first Ipshita Memorial Charity Barbecue that we have hosted. Ipshita was a trainee (medical registrar) in renal medicine and her last workplace was in the Renal Department, Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, UK.

We felt it was fitting that the first Ipshita Memorial Charity Barbecue raised money towards essential equipment in the Renal Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
In addition, we have set up an annual “Ipshita Memorial Renal Research Prize” for participants in the Study Day in the Renal Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
